Family Vacations: Sun, surf, sand, maybe even a little Disney thrown in, right? Noooo! Not for the Paulsons! For our big summer vacation, we went from steamy 100 degree Dallas heat to the balmy DRY heat of Tucson, Arizona. Top temp I experienced there? 114. Oh yeah... time to relax, baby!
I kid. While it WAS hot, we went to Tucson to celebrate my father in law's 60th birthday! We also stayed in the same resort where my husband first started his career, so it was not only some nice digs, but a "full circle" thing for him as well. We had lots of pool time, good friend time, great family time, and yes, more than enough wine time. :)
I had a few requests for shoots- so it turned into a bit of a working vacation. (I figure I at least evened out the hotel room, right?) 4 families in 5 days! Needless to say, I'm an editing MACHINE now that I'm back home- but I love it!
Here's some images from those sessions- just a few that caught my eye right away....
This is the Muth Family. Can their baby be ANY cuter?!?!? How 'bout those eyes? Momma Jamie is Casey's cousin.
And I know mom and Dad might soon as forget these moments (it WAS nap time, after all) but Sydney was adorable, even when she was sad. :)
Here are the Pakkalas. We've known Matt and Alana for a long time. Matt actually grew up in Tucson, too, and even moved with us to Hawaii way back when! He and Alana just HAPPENED to be in town at the same time we were to show off their new baby, 7 week old Sophie. Neato! Aren't they gorgeous? I have some hilarious pictures coming soon of this little sweet pea. She sleeps with her legs spread like a frog. A naked bum doesn't get much cuter than hers... so we shot lots of that. :)
This is my sister in law, Mango, and her hubby Rey. Rounding out their family are Gracie and Loki.
We thought these next two shots will look good paired together on a wall.
And finally- the Byars family, Ray and Catherine. I've always known him as Ray, but everyone else calls him Brian or RB. I just call him "Rrrraaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy," cause I'm not sure what else to say. :) We've known them for a long time too! The Byars genes are some of the strongest I've ever seen- Brooke looks EXACTLY like her Dad (who looks just like his brother, and mom.. etc.)
(I love this next picture, but still needs a few tweaks, methinks, just don't know what yet... gimme a few days. :)
Enjoy the sneak peek everybody! I'll pop up out of this little computer editing hole soon enough so show you some more!
